01 / OUR ORIGINS

A commitment
to education.

The school was founded in 1983 by Hon. Eng. Philip Okoth Okundi, EBS, HSC. Since 1983, its story has been rooted in a community commitment to accessible education and opportunity for children.

Over the years, Kuoyo Kochia has become part of the social and educational fabric of West Kochia, connecting families, teachers and successive generations of learners.

We are bringing together school records and community recollections to preserve this history carefully. Accounts of early headteachers, the first intake and important milestones will be added as the historical record is confirmed.

PRESERVING OUR HERITAGE

Every memory
adds a chapter.

Former pupils, teachers and community members can help preserve the school’s history through dated photographs, documents and first-hand recollections.

Historical contributions should identify who is pictured, when an event took place and who can confirm the account.
